The European Credit Transfer (and accumulation) System (ECTS) is a standard means in order make studies and courses more transparent thoughout the European Higher Education Area . It helps you to go on an exchange between your home institution and ESIGELEC and to get your study period abroad recognised. It enables credits earned at ESIGELEC to be counted at your home institution. ECTS is based on defined learning outcomes and their associated workload.
The usual workload for an ESIGELEC student is :
Full academic year = 60 ECTS credits
One semester = 30 ECTS credits
As an exchange student, you may select 20 ECTS credits minimum up to 30 ECTS credits maximum per semester.

The grading scale in use at ESIGELEC is the following:
The maximum mark is 20
The minimum mark to earn an ECTS credit is 10.
The minimum mark is 0.

After the exchange period, ESIGELEC issues a transcript of records, which is available on the student’s academic account a few weeks after the last examination is over.
